Manchester United ‘offer 12-month contract’ to Juan Mata amid interest from Juventus and Barcelona
Manchester United have reportedly offered a 12-month contract extension to Juan Mata to stop him leaving on a free transfer in the summer.The 30-year-old is out of contract at the end of the season and has been linked with moves to Barcelona and Juventus.2

United are eager to keep him at Old Trafford, especially after some good performances under interim manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.Mata joined the Red Devils from Chelsea in January 2014 for 37million and earns around 140,000 a week. The Mirror report that the Manchester club want to give him a one year extension and avoid him leaving on a free.The midfielder is understood to be open to a move to Italy but believes a switch to America or China is not an option at this stage of his career.2
