Liverpool relinquishing top spot in the Premier League to Manchester City could actually play into the Merseyside club’s hands, according to talkSPORT’s Ryan Mason.Jurgen Klopp’s side slipped a point behind the reigning champions in the table over the weekend after only managing a goalless draw away to neighbours Everton.2

Liverpool will wonder how they failed to win the game

Mason believes there are more twists left in the title race

“If you look at Salahs performance – last season he would have taken the opportunities.There was a real lack of quality in a few instances and it is a bit nervy as they want it so bad but the fact that Manchester City are in front might actually play into Liverpools hands because the pressure isnt on them now.Theyre the chasers and they dont have to deal with the pressure. I dont think theyve dealt with the pressure very well at all.Its just about who drops the least points now.
